Iran’s foreign ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei
Iran’s foreign ministry says disagreement over “two or three key issues” blocked a deal with the United States in Islamabad talks. Iran’s foreign ministry Spokesperson Esmaeil Baqaei told IRIB that while some progress was made, major gaps remained, without giving details.
US Vice-President JD Vance earlier cited Iran’s refusal to commit to renouncing a nuclear weapon as a key sticking point.
Baqaei said no one expected a single round to deliver an agreement and stressed that “diplomacy never comes to an end”. He added Iran would stay in contact with mediator Pakistan and other regional partners, without confirming further talks with Washington. Source: CNN
