UK PM Keir Starmer
UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer says British troops will not be sent to Iran. “This is not our war and we’re not going to get drawn into it,” he said when asked about the possibility of deploying forces to the Middle East.
Starmer defended the UK’s position during the conflict, saying it is taking “defensive action” to protect “British lives, British interests and, of course, our allies in the region”.
He added that the UK will continue efforts to safeguard its interests and help reopen the Strait of Hormuz, but refuses to “get dragged into this war”. Source: BBC
